Fast-food giant Carl's Jr. has publicly thrown its support behind social media star Alix Earle as her ongoing dispute with fellow influencer Alex Cooper continues to unfold online.
In an exclusive statement obtained by TMZ, a Carl's Jr. spokesperson affirmed the company's commitment to Earle, who starred in their high-profile Super Bowl commercial last year. "While there seems to be plenty of beef circulating online lately, we promise ours is the juiciest," the spokesperson quipped. "Alix’s authentic style was the perfect fit for our campaign. She is the best in the business at post-game recovery, so it was a natural fit."
The company highlighted the success of the campaign, which promoted their Hangover Burger as a post-Super Bowl recovery meal. "The campaign, which was focused on giving away our Hangover Burger as the post-big game recovery cure, delivered record-breaking results," the spokesperson added.
This corporate endorsement comes amid speculation that Alex Cooper had initially expressed interest in the Carl's Jr. partnership. However, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy recently denied these rumors on social media, claiming Cooper told him, "If I had a gun to my head and 10 million dollars in a bag, I would not have done that Carl's Jr. ad."
The public support from a major brand adds a new dimension to the ongoing feud between the two prominent social media personalities, demonstrating how corporate partnerships can become entangled in personal disputes within the influencer community.
