Federal authorities have released what they describe as the manifesto of Cole Allen, the man charged with attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. According to the criminal complaint, Allen scheduled the email to be sent to family and friends moments before he allegedly breached a security checkpoint armed with a shotgun and pistol.
The email begins with an apology and hints at a motive: "I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes."
In the document, Allen states that his primary targets were Trump administration officials, "prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest," though he explicitly excluded FBI Director Kash Patel. The email concludes with a signature: "Cole 'coldForce' 'Friendly Federal Assassin' Allen."
Allen now faces three criminal charges, including attempted assassination of the president, which carries a potential life sentence.
