Brodie Croft scored a hat-trick as Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos defeated Catalans Dragons 28-6 in Perpignan, restoring their four-point lead at the top of the table.
Croft crossed for three tries in an 11-minute spell during the second half, complementing first-half scores from Harry Newman and Lachlan Miller that gave Leeds a 16-0 halftime lead.
Catalans, who had lost 60-18 to Toulouse the previous week, showed improvement but could not contain the Rhinos' attack. Ugo Tison's late try provided a consolation for the hosts, denying Leeds a shutout.
Croft's hat-trick brought his season try tally to 20. The night also saw Maika Sivo's bid to equal the Super League record for consecutive games with a try end at 10, as Catalans kept him scoreless.
Leeds coach Brad Arthur praised his team's professionalism: "We were pretty professional and thought we were quite tough as well. We wanted to dominate possession, and I thought we did that really well."
Catalans coach John Cartwright acknowledged the improvement but lamented missed opportunities: "Up until 16-0 down we were still in the game. We were unlucky because we should have scored a try and had to take our chances against a side like that, and we didn't."
The result leaves Catalans eighth, six points adrift of the playoff places, while Leeds extend their winning run to 12 victories in 13 matches.
