If you don’t want to spend $180 on the Elgato Key Light, the Godox ES45 Desktop LED Key Light is a more affordable option that offers nearly as much brightness and plenty of features, including adjustable brightness and color temperature. Right now, it’s cheaper than usual for the first time this year, selling for $119 ($20 off) at Amazon and B&H Photo.

The ES45 is a worthwhile purchase for streamers, or really anyone who wants to look their best on camera. You can position the light to shine directly on you, or aim it at your wall for some even bias lighting that creates a glow effect in your room that’s easier on the eyes. It can go between a warm 2,800K to a cooler, daylight-like color temperature.
One feature it has over Elgato’s popular Key Light is an included wireless 2.4GHz remote, which lets you easily adjust the lighting without having to fiddle with desktop or mobile apps. The remote automatically recharges when you reconnect it magnetically to the light. The ES45 also comes with a desk clamp that requires no tools to install, letting you attach it to a desk that’s up to two inches thick.
Three more Verge-approved deals
- Speaking of brightening up your space, Govee’s Outdoor Smart Wall Lightis on sale for $54.99 ($45 off) at Best Buy. Designed for outdoor spaces like patios, the IP65-rated lights offers up to 1,500 lumens of warm or cool white light, and can display three colors at once. The lights support Matter, too, making them easy to control with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or other compatible smart home platforms. Plus, you get access to over 45 preset scene modes, though you can also create your own custom lighting effects in the Govee app.
- Just in time for your exciting summer adventures, the capable Insta360 X5 has dropped to a new low price of $434.99 ($115 off) at Amazon, B&H Photo, and from the Insta360 store. The 360-degree action camera delivers impressive image quality even in low-light conditions, and can shoot 8K video at 30fps, 5.7K at 60fps or in 4K at up to 120fps. Notably, it also supports user-replaceable lenses, which can be swapped out using an optional kit available through Insta360 or Amazon. Read our review.
- You can buy the **The HobbitandLord of the Rings**Box Set for $24.92 ($51 off) at Amazon, which is $7 shy of its all-time low price. The set includes pocket-sized versions of The Hobbit along with all three volumes of The Lord of the Rings books packaged in an attractive leatherette box. It’s a great value, whether you’ve read the books before (or perhaps you’ve only seen the stellar movie adaptations).
