The global superstar discusses his approach to songwriting, the pressures of individual success, and how he handles feedback from ARMY, BTS's dedicated fanbase.
Jung Kook describes his creative process as fluid and instinctive. "I approach music with a carefree and open mindset," he explains. "Whether I'm working on solo projects or songs for BTS, I try not to overthink things and just let the emotions guide me."
The singer recently collaborated on a special performance of the traditional Korean folk song "Arirang," which he describes as a meaningful experience connecting him to his cultural heritage. "It was important to me to honor this piece while bringing my own interpretation to it," Jung Kook shares.
When asked about the transition from group projects to solo work, the artist reveals he doesn't see them as separate endeavors. "Everything I create, whether it's for myself or for BTS, comes from the same place," he notes. "The only difference is who I'm imagining singing it when I write."
