Patten and Heliovaara Defend Wimbledon Doubles Crown with Dominant Display

Great Britain's Henry Patten and Finland's Harri Heliovaara have reclaimed the Wimbledon men's doubles title, defeating Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador and Croatia's Mate Pavic in straight sets on Centre Court. The world number ones won 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3) to secure their third Grand Slam title together.

Patten sealed the victory with an ace on their second match point, collapsing to the ground before being embraced by Heliovaara, who celebrated with a forward roll. The duo first won Wimbledon in 2024 after joining forces earlier that year, then added the Australian Open in 2025.

Heliovaara called Patten "the best partner in the world," while Patten credited his teammate for taking a chance on him two years ago. "I owe Harri my career," Patten said. "When we won the first time, we didn't know if we could do it again. It's surreal."

During the trophy presentation, Patten defended doubles tennis against proposed ATP changes that would halve draw sizes and cut prize money. "I'm a strong believer we are here to grow the game," he told the crowd. "This match shows the joy doubles can bring."

The champions lost in the French Open final in June and were beaten by the same opponents at Queen's, but they dominated the tie-breaks to claim a tour-leading fifth title of the season. Neither team faced a break point in a match defined by precision serving.
