A former manager of a pork cutlet restaurant in Taiwan quit less than two weeks after being hired, but not before pocketing the key to the shop's safe. The suspect allegedly returned to the store and stole NT$15,000 (approximately US$500) from the safe. The incident occurred at a branch of Fuji Pork Cutlet, a popular chain.
The ex-manager, who had worked at the shop for under two weeks, reportedly failed to return the safe key upon resignation. Police are investigating the theft, which was discovered when the store's owner noticed missing cash. The suspect now faces charges of theft and breach of trust.
