Simone Ashley has made it clear she's always ready to return to the world of Bridgerton. The actress, who played Kate Sharma in the hit Netflix series' second season, recently shared that both she and co-star Jonathan Bailey would make time in their schedules to reprise their roles.

"I can only comment on what me and Jonny have done," Ashley said on The Louis Theroux Podcast. "We just really make sure that our schedules can just make it work."

She revealed that Bailey went to extraordinary lengths to make brief appearances in seasons three and four while filming Wicked in Toronto.

"He flew between Toronto and London back and forth whilst he was filming Wicked," she recalled. "Thank God I've not been filming during the start of this year. I've done like eight cities in one month. So that would have been a bit nuts to figure out."

Despite the logistical challenges, Ashley emphasized her commitment: "But I would have done it. I would have scheduled it."

The actress explained that she and Bailey feel a strong connection to the series and its cast, describing the set as feeling like coming home to family.

"When we go back, there is that environment of coming home," she said, "and feeling like we're part of a family."

Showrunner Jess Brownell has hinted that Ashley's character will play a significant role in future seasons, particularly when Eloise Bridgerton's story takes center stage.

"I also am really partial to the relationship between Kate and Eloise," Brownell told People. "That's something that I'd like to continue following in the future. So when we eventually get to Eloise's season, Kate is someone I'll be very interested to have around, if I can."

Ashley isn't the only former Bridgerton star eager to return. Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton in the first season and made a brief appearance in season two, also expressed her willingness to rejoin the cast.

"I just want to say I have not received a call," Dynevor admitted in an interview with Collider Ladies Night. "And when I get that call, I will be there if I can."

The actress explained that when she and Regé-Jean Page (who played her husband Simon Basset) initially signed on for the first season, there wasn't a firm plan for future installments.

"When the first season came out they didn't know what they needed to put in place," she said. "So we were like the ones that got away I think, in a certain way. But like we would—I can only speak for myself—I would always come back if I was asked."

Both actresses' openness to returning suggests that fans might see familiar faces from earlier seasons making appearances as the Bridgerton universe continues to expand.
