United Airlines to Debut Premium Eurobusiness Seating on New A321XLR Fleet

United Airlines has confirmed that its upcoming Airbus A321XLR aircraft will feature a new class of seating reminiscent of European business-class products. The airline announced that the long-range narrowbody jets will be configured with a dedicated premium cabin offering lie-flat seats arranged in a 1-1 layout, similar to the "Eurobusiness" style found on transatlantic routes operated by carriers like British Airways and Air France. This marks a departure from United's standard domestic first-class seating, which typically uses a 2-2 configuration. The A321XLRs are slated for delivery starting in 2025 and will be used on routes to secondary European cities and other long-haul destinations that do not justify a widebody aircraft. United's move aims to capture business travelers seeking direct connections without the need for connecting hubs.
