Netflix is revving up its May 2026 lineup with fresh titles, but fans of Korean zombie horror will have to say goodbye to two iconic films. Both "Train to Busan" and its sequel "Peninsula" are set to leave the streaming platform.
Released in 2016, "Train to Busan" became a global sensation, following a group of passengers fighting for survival on a high-speed train during a zombie outbreak. Its 2020 sequel, "Peninsula," expands the universe four years later, shifting the action to a quarantined post-apocalyptic Korean peninsula.
The exact removal date hasn't been announced, but subscribers should catch them before they vanish. Meanwhile, Netflix is adding a wave of new content in May, including original series and films.
"Train to Busan" is widely praised for its emotional depth and intense action, often cited as one of the best zombie films of the decade. "Peninsula" offers a more explosive, vehicle-based horror experience. Both are must-watches for genre fans.
