Adam Azim will make his comeback from injury against Steve Claggett on 30 May at Wembley Arena, with the fight broadcast live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
The undefeated British boxer was originally scheduled to face Gustavo Lemos in January but withdrew due to injury. Lemos later pulled out, paving the way for Claggett.
"This is another big step forward for me on my journey to a world title," Azim said. "Steve Claggett is a tough, experienced fighter, he gave Teofimo Lopez his toughest fight, and that's exactly the kind of challenge I want."
Claggett, 36, has a record of 40 wins, eight losses, and two draws, with significant experience over the 23-year-old Azim. The Canadian went the distance in a world-title loss to Lopez in 2024 and has fought only twice since.
Azim, unbeaten in 14 fights with 11 knockouts, hopes a win will boost his IBF ranking and position him for a world-title shot within a year. The IBF light-welterweight title is now vacant after American Richardson Hitchins vacated it, with Lindolfo Delgado named the leading contender.
Coverage on BBC Two runs from 21:00 to 23:00 BST, with the undercard streaming live on BBC iPlayer.
