Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon reached her 150th career win on Sunday, becoming the second-fastest coach in WNBA history to achieve the milestone. The Aces defeated the Seattle Storm 84-79 at Michelob Ultra Arena, marking Hammon's 150th win in just 177 games.
Hammon, a former WNBA player, trails only Cheryl Reeve of the Minnesota Lynx, who reached 150 wins in 174 games. The Aces, defending champions, improved to 15-7 this season under Hammon's leadership.
"It's a testament to the players and the organization," Hammon said after the game. "We've built something special here, and I'm grateful to be part of it."
Key contributors for the Aces included A'ja Wilson, who scored a game-high 27 points, and Kelsey Plum, who added 18 points and 7 assists. The victory extended Las Vegas's winning streak to four games.
Hammon's coaching tenure began in 2022 when she took over the Aces after serving as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. She led the team to a championship in her first season and has maintained a winning culture since then.
