Cadence and NVIDIA Deepen Collaboration to Transform Engineering with AI and Accelerated Computing

Cadence Design Systems and NVIDIA have announced an expanded partnership aimed at revolutionizing engineering workflows through artificial intelligence and accelerated computing. The collaboration will integrate NVIDIA's accelerated computing platforms with Cadence's suite of electronic design automation (EDA) and system design tools, enabling engineers to tackle complex design challenges more efficiently.

At the heart of the partnership is the adoption of NVIDIA's AI-driven technologies to enhance Cadence's software, allowing for faster simulation, verification, and optimization of semiconductor and system designs. This includes leveraging NVIDIA's GPU acceleration and AI frameworks to improve performance in areas such as computational lithography, which is critical for advanced chip manufacturing.

The companies highlighted that the joint effort will help address the growing demands of the Age of AI, where the complexity of chips and systems requires unprecedented computational power. By combining Cadence's expertise in EDA with NVIDIA's accelerated computing and AI capabilities, the partnership aims to reduce time-to-market and enable innovation in AI, 5G, autonomous vehicles, and other emerging technologies.

"We are excited to expand our collaboration with NVIDIA to help our customers achieve new levels of productivity and performance," said Anirudh Devgan, president and CEO of Cadence. "By integrating NVIDIA's accelerated computing into our platforms, we are empowering engineers to solve the most complex problems in the industry."

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, added, "The convergence of AI and accelerated computing is redefining engineering. Our expanded partnership with Cadence will provide the tools needed to design the next generation of AI-powered systems."

The companies expect the enhanced solutions to be available in the coming months.
