Charli XCX is giving fans a rare opportunity to connect with her in person. The pop star announced a special event titled 'Conversations' in New York City, where she hopes to discuss her creative process, songwriting, and more.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Charli shared a handwritten-style graphic reading "Would love to talk w you" and directed followers to RSVP via her website. "I love talking about making things and process and stuff with my friends," she wrote. "So if you want to ask me questions about creative process / song writing / anything else that would be cute. Wanna hear what you’re making too."
The event comes as Charli gears up to release her next studio album, which she has hinted will mark a shift toward rock music. In a recent interview with Vogue, she declared, "I think the dance floor is dead, so now we’re making rock music." She also emphasized she is not interested in repeating her breakthrough Brat era, saying, "If I’d made another album that felt more dance-leaning, it would have felt really hard, really sad."
Her last studio album, Brat, became a cultural phenomenon in 2024, spawning the "Brat Summer" trend. Since then, she released a soundtrack for the film Wuthering Heights. Earlier this month, her team confirmed she was putting the finishing touches on the new record.
