Kylie Jenner, the 28-year-old beauty mogul and reality television star, is facing a discrimination lawsuit filed by her former housekeeper, Angelica Vasquez. The legal action alleges Vasquez endured "severe and pervasive harassment" while employed at Jenner's Hidden Hills, California, residence from September 2024 to August 2025.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, Vasquez—described as a Salvadoran woman and practicing Catholic—claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment based on her race, national origin, and religion. The complaint details a pattern of alleged mistreatment, including being routinely assigned the most difficult tasks, excluded from the housekeeping team, and publicly belittled in front of coworkers.
"This conduct was continuous and created a toxic and abusive work environment," the filing states. "No remedial action was taken by any supervisors who witnessed this."
The lawsuit further alleges that when Vasquez spoke out about the treatment, she faced retaliation including increased workload, reduced hours, false disciplinary warnings, and continued public humiliation. In a particularly disturbing incident detailed in the complaint, an unnamed supervisor allegedly "threw hangers at [her] feet while reprimanding her" in March 2025.
Vasquez claims the working conditions caused her to develop "anxiety, severe stress and symptoms consistent with post-traumatic stress disorder," requiring her to take medical leave in July 2025. Upon returning to work, she found the hostile environment unchanged and ultimately resigned in August 2025 when "working conditions had become intolerable."
While Jenner is listed as a defendant alongside two limited liability companies and 25 unidentified individuals, the lawsuit does not specifically attribute any of the alleged discriminatory acts directly to the reality star. Representatives for Jenner have not responded to requests for comment, and the beauty entrepreneur has yet to publicly address the allegations.
Vasquez is seeking restitution for unpaid wages, meal and rest period premium pay, unreimbursed business expenses, and unpaid sick leave, in addition to punitive damages. The case highlights ongoing concerns about workplace treatment in high-profile households and adds to the growing list of legal challenges facing celebrity employers.
