Globe Telecom Inc. announced that efforts to restore network services in earthquake-hit Mindanao are ongoing, with teams deployed to repair damaged infrastructure and restore connectivity to affected communities.
The 6.8-magnitude earthquake that struck the region caused significant disruptions to telecommunications services, leaving many residents unable to communicate with loved ones or access critical information. Globe has mobilized technical crews and equipment to priority areas, working round the clock to bring back services as quickly as possible.
"We understand the importance of staying connected during times of crisis, and our teams are doing everything they can to restore normal operations," a Globe spokesperson said. The company is coordinating with local government units and disaster response agencies to ensure efficient repair work.
Globe advised customers that while progress is being made, some areas may experience intermittent service as repairs continue. The company also reminded users to utilize alternative communication channels such as WiFi calling or messaging apps where available.
