Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has firmly denied speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, insisting he has "no plans" to leave Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old England international, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 for £42.5 million, addressed recent transfer rumors in an interview with the Guardian.
"When I see it I just laugh," Palmer said regarding the Manchester United links. "Obviously Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don't miss it."
Despite being a boyhood Manchester United fan and having spent 13 years at Manchester City's academy, Palmer emphasized his commitment to Chelsea, where he signed a contract extension in 2024 that ties him to the club until 2033.
"I've got no plans to move from Chelsea," Palmer stated. "We've still got a lot to play for. We've got the FA Cup semi-final and if we finish in a Champions League spot it puts us in a good position to sign players that we need."
Chelsea currently sit sixth in the Premier League and face third-placed Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in a crucial match for Champions League qualification.
Palmer also revealed that he and captain Reece James have been involved in discussions with club ownership about summer transfer plans.
"We spoke to the owners and they're sure of the players that are going to do it," Palmer explained. "Reece won't sign a six-year contract if he's not spoken to the owners and the directors. Me and Reece spoke a lot, about things we need, players we need to sign and how things need to be."
The midfielder's comments come amid reports that homesickness might be affecting his form this season, with just 10 goals compared to 43 in his first 97 appearances for Chelsea. Palmer dismissed these concerns, saying he only misses Manchester after extended periods away but finds "there's nothing there for me anyway" when he returns.
