A Chinese company called Yueban has unveiled a robotic self-driving toilet designed to assist people with mobility challenges. Named Xiaoban, the autonomous toilet was showcased at an expo in Shanghai focused on elderly care, assistive devices, and rehabilitation medicine.
The Xiaoban can navigate a home safely, clean itself after use, and empty its waste tank without human intervention. It is aimed at improving accessibility for individuals dealing with mobility issues due to age, injuries, or disabilities.
According to IT Home, the Xiaoban is expected to retail for ¥28,999 yuan in China, which is roughly $4,300. While the price puts it in luxury territory, Yueban hopes the convenience and accessibility features will make it a valuable addition for those who need it most.
