Shokz has announced two new iterations of its open-earbud lineup: the OpenDots 2 and the OpenDots Air. The OpenDots 2 brings a bone conduction microphone for improved call clarity, while the OpenDots Air serves as a more affordable entry-level option.
According to the company, the OpenDots 2 features a redesigned acoustic chamber that delivers richer bass and clearer overall sound compared to its predecessor. The earbuds also adopt a lighter frame, making them more comfortable for extended wear. The bone conduction microphone is a key addition, using vibrations to pick up the user's voice even in noisy environments.
Meanwhile, the OpenDots Air strips back some features to hit a lower price point, targeting users who want open-ear listening without a premium cost. Both models maintain the signature clip-on design that rests outside the ear canal, allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings.
Shokz says the OpenDots 2 will be available later this month, while the OpenDots Air is set to ship in July.
