Atlanta Inmates Fume Over Superman Sequel Filming: 'Routines Ruined'

The buzz surrounding the new Superman movie might be electric for fans, but inmates at a federal prison in Atlanta are feeling anything but super. Sources tell TMZ that the production of James Gunn's 'Man of Tomorrow' sequel has sparked frustration behind bars, with prisoners claiming the shoot is upending their daily lives.

According to an insider, inmates at FCI Atlanta are upset because the film's crew has allegedly imposed stricter lockdown conditions. Prisoners reportedly must remain in their cells more than usual and have lost access to the commissary—the prison store where they can purchase snacks and essentials.

A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on specific security measures, but noted that any modifications to operations are made for the safety of staff and inmates, typically following a violent incident requiring investigation.

Another source with direct knowledge of the production said the crew is filming in a small section of the facility and is expected to wrap up location shooting soon. Gunn himself confirmed the prison setting by sharing a photo on Monday, showing where Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor was incarcerated after the events of the first film.

Despite the alleged restrictions, officials insist all inmates still receive three meals daily, potable water, and access to medical and psychological services. For now, it seems the 'Man of Tomorrow' has become the source of today's tension behind bars.
