Couture Studio Hair and Nails recently commemorated its first anniversary with an exclusive gathering titled "The Art of Hair & Nails," drawing influencers, loyal clients, and beauty enthusiasts to its boutique salon at Bonifacio High Street in Bonifacio Global City.
The celebration, held at the salon's second-floor space in the B2 Building, showcased Couture Studio's commitment to personalized beauty services, blending international hairstyling expertise with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Guests were welcomed into a sleek, modern interior designed to balance sophistication and comfort, creating an environment where clients can unwind while receiving professional hair and nail treatments from experienced stylists using contemporary equipment and techniques.
The anniversary event also marked the introduction of French-Italian hairstylist Pascalain Gianello as Couture Studio's exclusive creative director. Gianello brings decades of international experience in the hairdressing industry, including early training with the legendary Vidal Sassoon in London.
"I started very young, actually at 13. After my apprenticeship in France, I went to London to work for Vidal Sassoon, and from there I spent many years traveling and teaching around the world," Gianello shared in an interview.
Gianello's hairstyling philosophy is rooted in the Sassoon tradition of precision cutting and geometric techniques that allow hair to fall naturally while maintaining structure and balance.
"Beautiful hair has to be perfectly cut and balanced. It's about respecting hair texture and creating shapes that suit the person, so the client can manage their hair easily for weeks," he explained.
At Couture Studio, the focus is on enhancing individuality rather than following temporary trends.
"It's difficult to talk about trends because individuality is the key word. Everything is allowed, but suitability is the point. You analyze the person and their hair texture and bring out the maximum of what is already there," Gianello noted.
Beyond hairstyling, Couture Studio offers a comprehensive menu of services designed to make the salon a one-stop beauty destination. These include haircuts, color treatments, hair care services, manicures, pedicures, lash services, waxing treatments, and drip therapies for clients seeking wellness-focused options during their visit.
The salon also features family-friendly touches, including nail services for children, and maintains a pet-friendly policy that allows guests to bring their furry companions while they enjoy their appointments.
For Gianello, the studio's atmosphere plays a crucial role in the overall experience.
"It's very beautiful, very clean, and there is a lot of light. People can come here, relax, and feel they are in the hands of professional people," he said.
The anniversary event, hosted by professional models and presenters Su Jin Kim and Ashley Kim, featured style showcases and demonstrations while giving guests a closer look at the salon's services and philosophy.
Looking ahead, Gianello expressed his hope to contribute to the development of hairstyling talent in the Philippines by sharing his decades of experience with younger professionals in the industry.
"My dream is to build up Filipino hairdressers and artists. When you reach a certain age, you want to pass on what you've learned and help others become strong and confident in their craft," he said.
