The Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba has officially launched its Philippine presence with an elegant gathering in Manila. The event, held at Mezzanine PH, celebrated the arrival of this prestigious Italian wine society in Southeast Asia.
Hosted by Joel del Prado y Rama and his wife Carla, alongside Maynard Ngu, the evening brought together notable figures including Maestro Ugo Venturino from Alba and Maestro Roland Muksch of the Singapore Chapter. Italian Ambassador Davide Giglio and Anna Lisa Ghini also attended, highlighting the diplomatic and cultural significance of the occasion.
"More than a dinner, the evening marked the beginning of a promising new chapter for the order in the Philippines," noted organizers.
Guests enjoyed a curated selection of Piemonte wines ranging from Alta Langa to Barolo and Barbaresco, expertly paired with a menu prepared by Chef Arnel and his team.
A key announcement revealed that Joel del Prado y Rama, currently a cavalier of the order alongside his wife Carla, will lead the newly established Philippine Chapter. The evening blended fine wine, warm company, and timeless elegance as the order begins its Philippine journey.
